Professional Fighters League Confirms PFL Pacific International League for 2026

The Professional Fighters League is unique and full of worldwide opportunities at different levels, and it appears that a new region is about to get its opportunity to shine.

While it garners most of its attention with the format change on the PFL Global stage, moving away from the regular season points format to a single-elimination tournament in eight different weight classes, it seems that it’s a new era for the PFL as their business continues to expand. On Friday the PFL released a detailed guide on how it operates with their multiple franchises and different formats, and the opportunities presented to its talent.

PFL International Leagues

Having launched with PFL Europe in 2023 and PFL MENA in 2024, the groundwork has been laid out for PFL Africa to launch in 2025, and it appears that PFL Pacific is next in line, scheduled to launch in 2026. The international leagues focus on bringing together the top fighters in the region, in a single-elimination tournament that will see champions crowned from each region around the globe.

PFL International Leagues set a precedent for what fighters in the organization can look forward to and is the first step in a path to long-term promotional success for an athlete. There are those who will win their international league and get elevated to the PFL World Tournament, where business picks up.

After winning PFL Europe in 2023, Dakota Ditcheva moved on to the PFL Global stage with the former regular season format and became a superstar in 2024. Winning the regular season and women’s flyweight season last year, Ditcheva announced her arrival as one of the top female fighters on the planet, and PFL’s biggest and brightest women's star.

PFL World Tournament

Labeled as “one shot” for fighters to make it, there are 30 countries represented in the 64 slots across eight different weight classes. A total of $25 million in prize pool is up for grabs as well as a tournament championship.

In 2025, the PFL World Tournament has brackets for women’s flyweight, men’s bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Comprised of a mixture of proven veterans and fighters getting their biggest shot following success in PFL's regional tiers, the tournament is designed so that the path to a title is transparent and structured. The mantra of the world tournament is “one shot” and that’s exactly what fighters get: a win-and-advance, or a lose-and-go-home stipulation, bringing out the best of all involved.

PFL Champions Series

The World Tournament is not the end-all for fighters on the roster, as the biggest stage to reach is the Champions Series, which features athletes competing for lineal belts and two title bouts on each card. The Champions Series will pit the very best on the roster against each other no matter where they’re from in the world, as the PFL is providing the platform to create big stars under their banner.

The PFL is serving the combat sports universe with its tiered franchises in different formats all around the globe. Whether it’s through their international leagues giving fighters from Europe, MENA, Africa, and the Pacific their first big opportunity, or the World Tournament which establishes the stars or the Champions Series where the best reign supreme.
