WBC welterweight title on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in

Pacquiao, who has won 12 world championships across eight weight classes during his remarkable career, announced his retirement soon after to focus his time and energy on political ambitions in his native Philippines. He owns a 62-8-2 record with 39 knockouts. Barrios, meanwhile, last saw action on Nov. 15, when he retained the WBC welterweight crown in a split draw with Abel Ramos. The 30-year-old San Antonio native holds 29-2-1 record with 18 knockouts. Gervonta Davis and Keith Thurman were responsible for Barrios’ only two losses.
