By The Numbers: UFC Vegas 100 Pre-Fight Edition


Welterweights will step into the Ultimate Fighting Championship spotlight when “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 16 semifinalist Neil Magny tackles the hard-charging Carlos Prates in the UFC Vegas 100 main event on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, former two-division ONE Championship titleholder Reinier de Ridder makes his Octagon debut opposite Kill Cliff Fight Club’s Gerald Meerschaert in the three-round middleweight co-headliner at 185 pounds.

As UFC Vegas 100 “Magny vs. Prates” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the docket bring to the table:

148: Significant strikes landed by Magny in his technical knockout of former Bellator MMA champion Hector Lombard at UFC Fight Night 85 in March 2016. It established a personal high-water mark for the Elevation Fight Team mainstay that stands to this day.

15: Organizations for which the well-traveled Prates has plied his MMA trade. 18: Consecutive calendar years in which Meerschaert has fought at least once. In addition to his 2-0 mark in 2024, he went 3-2 in 2007, 5-1 in 2008, 2-1 in 2009, 4-0 in 2010, 1-1 in 2011, 1-1 in 2012, 3-1 in 2013, 2-1 in 2014, 2-0 in 2015, 3-0 in 2016, 2-1 in 2017, 1-1 in 2018, 1-2 in 2019, 1-2 in 2020, 3-0 in 2021, 1-1 in 2022 and 0-2 in 2023.

72: Seconds needed for Gaston Bolanos to cut down Rick Gutierrez with a spinning back elbow at Bellator 189 on Dec. 1, 2017. Nearly seven years later, it remains his fastest finish to date. Bolanos toes the line against Cortavious Romious in a three-round bantamweight showcase.

2: Sub-minute stoppages on the Romious resume. He put away Kevin Henry with an armbar in 41 seconds under the 360 Fight Club banner on June 30, 2018 and disposed of Erik Vo with an armbar in 50 seconds under the North Iowa Fights flag on April 20, 2024.

9: Gillian Robertson wins by submission, accounting for 64% of her career total (14). Her methods of choice: six rear-naked chokes and three armbars. Robertson faces Nova Uniao product Luana Pinheiro in a three-round women’s strawweight feature.

581: Days since Pinheiro last got her hand raised. She has followed her split decision over onetime Invicta Fighting Championships titleholder Michelle Waterson Gomez at UFC 287 on April 8, 2023 with back-to-back defeats to Amanda Ribas and Angela Hill.

100: Percent finish rate for Mansur Abdul-Malik. The undefeated MMA Masters export has turned away all six of his opponents inside the distance—five by knockout or technical knockout and one by submission. Abdul-Malik confronts Dusko Todorovic in a three-round middleweight appetizer.

8: Todorovic victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 67% of his career total (12). His list of UFC victims: Jordan Wright, Maki Pitolo and Dequan Townsend.

39: Years of age for Karolina Kowalkiewicz. The oldest fighter on the card, she was born on Oct. 15, 1985 in Lodz, Poland. A former Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki champion, Kowalkiewicz meets Denis Gomes in the featured women’s strawweight prelim.

24: Years of age for Gomes. The youngest fighter on the card, she was born on Dec. 30, 1999 in Santana do Livramento, Brazil.

.731: Cumulative winning percentage between the 22 fighters booked to compete at the event. They sport a combined record of 301-110-3. Meerschaert has the most wins (37) and losses (17) of anyone on the card.
